A little *something* on setting intentions

How important do you think it is to set an intention?

Can I just say It’s EV ER Y THIIIING…. and, yes, feel free to say it as it’s written.

I can hear my Mum saying ‘You had absolutely no intention of doing what I asked.

Which, of course, countered her…

Forget it, I know that you have every intention of doing exactly as you like.

And, yes, all these years later I see that she was right…. I always follow my intention.

When we make up our minds we set an intention to follow it through.

It’s a responsibility so we have to make sure we’re setting it with the right values in mind.

Have you heard the saying?

‘Where our attention goes, our energy flows’

After you’ve said it a couple of times, it rings true, right? And I suppose you could say it the other way around too.

Wherever we cast our attention that is where we’re sending out our precious energy.

It’s where we are right before we take action.

In this field of work, everything I do starts with that focus, the intent to connect and to Heal. If I don’t have that, then anything I attempt will be very hard work.

When I bring that intention in, I see it like a straight road ahead of me with a big arrow painted on it… it’s the zone I enter or the switch I flick to get started.

So much of what we do is usually inspired by the outcome and how that looks and feels to us, it’s our motivation.

How I achieve that outcome is just as important to me these days.

However I’m working, I always want it to be serving my best self, working with the highest and the best for the good of all.

And that’s exactly the intention I set before I start working with clients.

Bringing focus, integrity and authenticity to each of my practices.

I think my Mum would be proud.x.
